About me

Hi! My day job focuses on driving the creation of edtech products that are meaningful, joyful, and results driven. My current role (and all my roles working in EdTech) have built on my triple passions: zero to one building of products and programs, systemizing the delivery of education at scale, and innovating in instructional design. Prior to my current role, I built my own educational consulting company. This taught me how to scale educational solutions in a way that made economic sense, to balance mission with growth, and to build for every student.

I hold a doctorate in Religion from Claremont Graduate University and a Master of Arts in History from the University of California, Irvine. I taught for over 12 years at the university level, predominantly at large research focused institutions. I served as a lead author on OpenStax’s most recent World History textbook and have published award winning peer-reviewed publications on gender in the Roman world. I have organized several academic conferences in my research areas and served on the board for academic journals.
